GEMS Choir 2011 Milton Church Tower Appeal Concert
Dedicated to St. Peter and St. Paul, Milton Church dates back to the 14th Century and is mentioned both in the 'Textus Roffensis" in 975 and the Domesday Book of 1087 and is Gravesend's oldest surviving church. Due to acid rain erosion in some of the chalk block work, the areas in need of attention are the tower, southern wall and the porch plus an access door to the roof. The total estimated cost of the work is approximately £160,000. So if you choose to buy a ticket for this show you have a wonderful concert to enjoy and will also be contributing to the upkeep of perhaps the borough's most picturesque church.
